# The Client Portal

> Inviting clients and what they can see and do.

The portal is your client's window into their own case — a separate, secure space where they can follow progress, send you documents, and message your team. Clients sign in through their own portal login, never your workspace.

## How Progress Is Shown

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The client-facing progress timeline" icon="bars-progress">
    On **My Case**, the client sees a simplified progress timeline using plain-English phase names rather than internal terms: **Getting Started → Building Your Case → Demand Sent to Insurer → In Negotiation → In Litigation**. This is the same case stage you track internally, just worded for the client.
