Connecting Google Drive - Matter Vault

Every new matter automatically gets its own folder inside /matters/ the moment it is created.

Repairing the folder structure

If the Matter Vault root folders are missing — for example, if they were accidentally deleted or if your firm connected Drive before this feature shipped — use the Repair Drive Folders button in the Google Drive section of Firm Settings. This recreates the root structure without affecting any existing matter folders.

PI cases — folder structure

PI cases use a different subfolder layout inside their matter folder:

Disconnecting Drive

There is no disconnect button — contact support if you need to change the connected Google account.

Matter Vault requests drive.file scope only. This means it can only see files it created — it cannot read or modify anything else in your Google Drive.
