The Medical tab — providers, with record counts, billed amounts, and balances
At a Glance
Provider-Centered
Each provider holds its own records and bills.
Bills
Dates, amounts, liens, and a calculated balance per bill.
Records
Attach to a provider, a bill, or both, and track requests.
Medical Specials
Billed, paid, and balance totals roll up for the case.
The Medical Tab
The tab is headed Medical Providers and lists each provider with its record count, amount billed, and outstanding balance. Expand a provider to see its bills and its attached records. A footer at the bottom totals the case’s medical specials — billed, paid, and balance, plus an estimate of future care when present.Adding a Provider
Open the provider form
Click + Add Provider. A provider is an organization, so you search your medical facilities — typing a new name creates one.
Record the provider's details
Enter its specialty, NPI, a standard reduction percentage, notes, and contact details. A provider can exist with no bills yet — useful when records arrive before any billing does.

What you record on a bill
What you record on a bill
For each bill you record the dates of service, the amount billed, insurance paid, any adjustment, and the resulting balance (calculated for you). Every bill feeds the case’s medical specials totals.
Lien tracking
Lien tracking
You can also track lien details — whether the bill is on a lien, the lien amount, and an agreed payoff — along with a status such as pending, verified, reduced, or paid.
Records
Where records attach
Where records attach
Medical records can attach to a provider (shown under that provider’s records) or to a specific bill, or both. To add one, use the attach-or-upload option — pull in a document already on the case, or upload a new one, which defaults to the “Medical Records” category.
Tracking records requests
Tracking records requests
The app also tracks the status of records requests per provider, from not-yet-sent through received and uploaded, so you can see what is still outstanding.
